Liturgy

Liturgy is both an order of service and a way of naming our experiences in worship. In ordering our service, our liturgy intentionally moves us from our Call to Worship, to Eucharist–the focal point of our physical space and the high point of the drama that unfolds each Sunday morning–to Benediction, which sends us into the world in peace and love. In naming our experiences, our liturgy seeks to thoughtfully articulate words that give expression to our life, lived out before God in this world. At Pearl, our liturgy is influenced by the church calendar, the Revised Common Lectionary, and our life together. Each week, our liturgists, writers, and editors share in the work of crafting our liturgy.
